Honolulu, Hawaii – Goodwill Hawaii is pleased to be expanding its donation collection services to the island of Kauai as part of the County’s Reuse Program , which aims to divert unnecessary waste from their landfill. The nonprofit organization has had roots on Kauai for the past 20 years, providing job training, education, placement and tax-filing services for hundreds of island residents in-need annually. Goodwill’s free community programs and services are supported with the revenue generated by the sale of donations in its retail stores statewide.

“We are pleased to be able to support the County of Kauai with their efforts to maintain the beauty of their island and keep unnecessary waste out of their communities, and at the same time can help us provide critical services to underserved populations statewide including Kauai,” said Katy Chen, Goodwill Hawaii president & CEO.

Goodwill Hawaii will be collecting donations of reusable clothing and household goods once a month at the Kauai Resource Center (3460 Ahukini Road), starting on Friday, April 25 and again on May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, September 26, October 24, November 21, and December 19.
