GOODWILL HAWAII TO KICK-OFF THE HOLIDAY GIVING SEASON WITH 2ND ANNUAL GOODS GIVING SATURDAY, NOV. 22

Donors will be treated to $7,500 in prizes at four donation centers located statewide

Honolulu, Hawaii – Goodwill Hawaii is kicking off the season of giving with its 2nd annual Goods Giving Saturday drive on Saturday, November 22, from 9 am to 1 pm. The local nonprofit will thank donors by giving away gift cards or vouchers from Aloha Petroleum, Zippy’s Restaurants, and McDonald’s Hawaii at four of its top donation centers across the state — Kapolei, Kaimuki, Maui and Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo — while supplies last. In addition to the giveaways, donors will also enjoy the presence of local community influencers, who will bring added energy and excitement as Goodwill Hawaii celebrates the spirit of giving back to the community that has supported its mission for more than 65 years. “After the success of last year’s inaugural event, we’re excited to make Goods Giving Saturday an annual tradition and expand out to include our neighbor island locations,” said Casie Bui, Goodwill Hawaii’s Chief Operating Officer. “This event is our way of saying mahalo to our donors and partners for helping us empower people through the power of work.” The event marks the launch of Goodwill Hawaii’s annual End of the Year Donation Campaign, which runs from Goods Giving Saturday through January 4, 2026. The organization’s goal this season is to collect 150,000 boxes or bags of donations. Donations of pre-loved clothing and household goods fuel Goodwill Hawaii’s 13 retail stores statewide, and revenue from those sales directly supports free job training, education, and employment programs for Hawaii residents in need. Last year, Goodwill Hawaii helped nearly 500 residents statewide secure jobs, earning a combined $12.7 million in annual wages. The four designated locations for the Goods Giving Saturday activities are: * Goodwill Kapolei Store & Donation Center, 2140 Lauwiliwili Street

  • Goodwill Kaimuki Store & Donation Center, 3650 Waialae Avenue
  • Goodwill Maui Store & Donation Center, 250 Alamaha Street (Kahului)
  • Goodwill Attended Donation Center at Prince Kuhio Plaza, 111 Puainako Street (Hilo, Hawaii Island) For a list of all donation locations and more information about Goodwill Hawaii’s programs and services, visit GoodwillHawaii.org.
