Goodwill Hawaii Launches Home Donation Pick-Up Service in Select Oahu Neighborhoods

Honolulu, Hawaii – Goodwill Hawaii announced today the launch of a new 100% EV truck providing residents in select Oahu neighborhoods the convenience of donating gently used items without leaving home.

The curbside Home Donation Pick-Up service is currently being offered in Manoa, Hawaii Kai, Ewa Beach, and Kapolei, making it easier than ever for community members to support Goodwill Hawaii’s mission of providing job training, placement, and support services for individuals with barriers to employment. Donors can schedule a pickup online for eligible household items such as clothing, furniture, and home goods.

“This new service is designed to meet people where they are—making it more convenient to give back while extending the life of usable goods,” said Casie Bui, Goodwill Hawaii chief operating officer. “Donations are critical to furthering our nonprofit mission that provides opportunities for local individuals and families to gain skills, secure employment, and achieve greater self-sufficiency.”

The Home Donation Pick-Up Service is part of Goodwill Hawaii’s continued efforts to expand access, reduce waste, and strengthen community impact. Availability is currently limited to select neighborhoods, with plans to evaluate future expansion based on demand and operational capacity.
