GOODWILL HAWAII FREE COMMUNITY TAX CLINICS
SERVING LOW-INCOME FAMILIES OPENING ON JAN. 26

Honolulu, Hawaii – Goodwill Hawaii is proud to announce the 22nd consecutive year of providing free tax preparation services to low-income individuals and families across the state, helping local residents maximize refunds, claim valuable tax credits, and achieve greater financial stability.

In partnership with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Goodwill Hawaii will be offering free, IRS-certified tax preparation at seven locations statewide for individuals or families who earned $69,000 or less in 2025 and do not own rental property or report rental income. Services will be available by appointment only on select dates starting Monday, January 26 thru early April 2026. Qualifying families can sign up for an appointment online at GoodwillHawaii.org or by calling (808) 836-0313.

“For more than two decades, Goodwill Hawaii has been committed to helping our community keep more of what they earn and for many families can mean the difference between financial stress and financial security,” said Casie Bui, Goodwill Hawaii chief operating officer (COO).

In 2024, Goodwill helped more than 3,300 residents file tax returns and claim $3.6 million in refunds and credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit — money that is often reinvested directly back into the local economy.

“We are especially grateful to the amazing Goodwill Hawaii staff along with many other community volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours of time to provide this critical service to the community,” Bui added.

Goodwill Hawaii’s free tax services are part of the nonprofit organization’s mission to eliminate barriers to employment and economic self-sufficiency. In addition to tax assistance, Goodwill Hawaii provides free job training, education, and employment services to thousands of Hawaii residents each year.
